Asbestos

Arkose Environmental, Inc. is a Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Licensed Asbestos Consultant Agency.

Building Surveys and Hazard Assessments: State and federal regulations hold building owners and employers responsible for protecting employees, occupants and outside contractors from exposure to asbestos.  Arkose Environmental helps building owners and managers, construction contractors, schools and colleges comply with these regulations by conducting surveys and providing comprehensive assessment reports.

Abatement Project Design and Management: Arkose Environmental develops innovative, cost-effective solutions and oversees all aspects of the asbestos abatement project, from initial planning and design through final documentation.

During the work, Arkose Environmental personnel collect air samples, ensure the contractor is in compliance with regulations, monitor the containment integrity, and perform visual inspections and air sampling to ensure the work area is safe for re-occupancy.

Arkose Environmental, Inc. utilizes an outside laboratory to prevent any concerns a client may have with respect to conflicts of interest.  The laboratory is a participant of the Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program for Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) sample analysis sponsored by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) and Texas DSHS licensed asbestos bulk sample laboratory for Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) analysis.
