Air Quality Consulting Services
Addressing air quality concerns before they become problematic is crucial to maintain and improve the health of a building and its occupants. Methods of testing indoor air quality can vary depending upon the substance of concern. Arkose Environmental can provide air quality testing and consulting services for concerns including, but not limited to, radon, mercury vapor, and various volatile organic compounds.
Asbestos Consulting Services
Arkose Environmental is a Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) licensed Asbestos Consultant Agency. State and federal regulations hold building owners and employers responsible for protecting employees, occupants, and outside contractors from exposure to asbestos. Arkose Environmental helps building owners and managers, construction contractors, schools and colleges comply with these regulations by conducting surveys and providing comprehensive assessment reports.
Asbestos Abatement Project Design & Management
Arkose Environmental develops innovative, cost-effective solutions and oversees all aspects of the asbestos abatement project, from initial planning and design through final documentation. During this process, our personnel collect air samples, ensure the contractor is in compliance with regulations, monitor the containment integrity, and perform visual inspections to ensure the work area is safe for re-occupancy.
Arkose Environmental utilizes an outside laboratory to prevent any concerns a client may have with respect to conflicts of interest. The laboratory is a participant of the proficiency analytical testing (PAT) program for phase contrast microscopy (PCM) sample analysis, sponsored by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). We also make use of the Texas DSHS licensed asbestos bulk sample laboratory for polarized light microscopy (PLM) analysis. In addition, we offer asbestos hazard awareness training exclusively designed to meet your requirements.
Lead-Based Paint Inspection & Risk Management
The presence of lead-based paint in buildings has created an enormous liability for schools and residential building owners and managers. It is also an issue that needs to be addressed on construction projects. Since building owners are responsible for the health and safety of the tenants on their properties, legal action can be brought against the building owner if any claims are filed. Regulations require building owners to train their maintenance personnel and notify residential tenants regarding the presence of lead-based paint. Our lead services include:
Building Surveys for Lead-Based Paint Using Our XRF Analyzer
Designing & Managing Lead Abatement Projects
Development of Lead-Based Paint Management Programs
Training of Building Personnel on How to Prevent & Abate Lead Hazards
