Phase II Site Assessment involves a subsurface analysis, necessary to assess the potential for soil and/or water impacts on or beneath the ground surface and to determine the presence or absence of any EPA regulated substances. Sources of such contaminants include above ground storage tanks, underground storage tanks, illegal dumping and accidental surface spills.
Boreholes are driven into the soil to collect soil and water samples for laboratory analysis. Based on the findings of the analysis, the client will receive a detailed report revealing the nature and potential source of contaminants, allowable limits of each identified chemical, recommendations regarding agency notification and the guidelines for appropriate remediation.
